Tender Success for Non Profit Organisations How NPOs successfully participate in EC service contracts
Many consulting companies make considerable profits through successful tender submissions. In times of scarce funding sources for Not-for-Profit Organisations (NPOs), responding to requests for tenders becomes an attractive possibility for acquiring additional funds. Unlike grants, tenders do not require a financial contribution from your organisation towards your project and generate a profit which can be used for the funding of other projects. Additionally, large donors like EuropeAid increasingly release tenders in fields in which NPOs have excellent expertise – a fact which is also known to consulting firms who therefore actively approach NPOs for collaboration. Yet, for truly making the most out of participating in tenders, one has to have a working knowledge of the process of tender submissions. What do I have to pay attention to when cooperating with consulting companies? What are the rules associated with submitting tenders? How can my organization operate in collaboration with a consulting firm that is the project lead? What must NPOs consider when generating a profit from a project? What personal and financial investment is involved in tendering?
In this workshop you acquire precious and field-tested know-how, developing an ideal foundation from which to successfully participate in EC tenders.
